PICTOU, N.S. - A 47-year-old Nova Scotia man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Pictou County.

RCMP say officers responded at about 1:45 a.m. Sunday to a report of a crash in Alma.

Mounties say they were alerted to the crash by two pedestrians who spotted a vehicle in a wooded area off Greenhill Road.

They say the sole occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

RCMP say they are investigating the crash with support from a collision reconstructionist.

They the man who died was from the nearby community of Sylvester.
