HALIFAX - A 17-year-old boy has been arrested after two fifteen-year-olds were shot early today during a party in Halifax.

Police say the incident occurred at about 12:40 a.m. on a quiet, enclosed street in the suburb of Cole Harbour, on the eastern edge of the city.

RCMP say one of the victims had a gunshot wound to their arm, and the other victim was shot in the leg.

The 15-year-old with the arm wound was treated at the scene before being transported to hospital, where they were treated and released.

The person with the leg injury was treated at the scene by paramedics for what police called "minor injuries."

Police say the young man alleged to have carried out the shootings fled the scene but was tracked down by Halifax police and RCMP officers by about 2 a.m., with the assistance of police dogs.
